AMA Building: Update XII
On June 24, 1982, a building permit was issued to AMA to construct the new building. On June 27 the official ground-breaking was held on the building site. On June 28 the loan arrangements between AMA and the Maryland National Bank were signed and the loan closed. Those five days were very significant and busy!
With the permits issued and the financing in place, construction has begun.
Financing
The loan established with the bank was possible because AMA achieved its Building Fund Drive total. This money enabled AMA to put up the down payment on the project costs and secure financing for the remainder.
Building Fund Drive
The AMA Building Fund Drive continues. Money raised now will decrease the financed debt necessary to complete the project.

A new Life Member who has earmarked his membership fee to the Building Fund is Gary Hutchison.
