AMA Building: Update XIII
PICTURES ARE WORTH a thousand words. This month's report features photographs of the site for the new building. As can be seen, work has begun in earnest.
The utilities are ready. The footings are in, and block has been laid to grade level. The majority of the site work (grading) has been completed. At the time the smaller photos were taken, the concrete floor slabs were being poured. Meanwhile, the structural steel was expected to be up by the time this article is in print. Progress, you bet!
Construction progress photos
John Hunton, the building's architect, provides the aerial photo of the site. The one shown was taken in July—the first of a series to come which will record the construction progress. To get an idea of how fast construction is going, the other pictures were taken within two weeks of the aerial view. At this rate we can expect the entire project to be completed before the end of the year.
This progress on aeromodeling's first and only permanent home is made possible by the contributions of many.
