AMA Building: Update XVIII
By reading the lists at the end of this month's report, you will see that there have been many eleventh‑hour donations. There were so many, in fact, that it was decided to publish the names of these donors here (as all the others have been), and not just add them to a final list.
Building status
The new building has been completed. When this was written (in mid‑January) the final inspections were being done. AMA and the contractor had done the first acceptance inspection. We were expecting to have complete county/AMA acceptance within two weeks and to move our AMA HQ operations into the new facility by mid‑February. If all went according to schedule, we will be in these new quarters when you read this.
Pins and patches
The Building Fund Drive of 1981–82 has ended. If you wanted one of the little brick pins or special patches, we hope you have one. The pins are all gone.
We have received quite a few calls and letters from people with a gold patch who want a second patch for their jackets or hats. As a courtesy to our major donors, AMA will offer the leftover patches to them. If your name has been published as a donor of $50 or more, and you would like a second patch, send $5.00 to AMA HQ, attention Lou Ward. These requests will be filled until the supply runs out (there aren't many left).
