A CELEBRATION OF EAGLES

They're Coming!
From near and far, hundreds have said they're planning to be part of the Celebration of Eagles gathering at Muncie July 6–7. Founders, Hall of Famers, Life members, Fellows, winners of AMA Distinguished Service Awards, Leader members, Museum Patrons, current and former AMA officers, and regular AMA members are among the many expected.
For the first time ever, we'll have the largest gathering of Past Presidents. Nine have indicated that they are coming or hope to come: Keith Storey, Claude McCullough, John Worth, Maynard Hill, John Patton, Cliff Weirick, Earl Witt, John Grigg, and Don Lowe.
Frank Tilush and the Texaco Trophy
The second issue of Model Aviation, dated August 1936, shows Frank Tilush's model which won the Texaco Trophy Free Flight event at that year's National Model Airplane Championships, held in Detroit. Frank and his brothers designed and produced the Tilush Super Ace engine that powered the model. Frank is an AMA Hall of Famer and will be at the 1996 AMA Celebration of Eagles in Muncie over the July 6–7 weekend. His original Texaco model is on display at the AMA Museum. Also to be present on the Celebration weekend is Mike Granieri, who placed fourth in the same Nationals event.
