This month I want to congratulate all the Leader Clubs that have attained this status again and the new ones that have reached this status.
On behalf of the district, I thank the following people. They do so much for the hobby and sport, and most members never realize how much. Without them, where would we be? Thank you from all of us.

Warbirds over Virginia (Gretna Aeromodelers)
The Gretna Aeromodelers club held its Warbirds over Virginia on October 24–25, 2003. Approximately 20 pilots attended from Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. There were two days of beautiful October weather for the event. The field was in tip-top shape with plenty of room for all to enjoy.
Spectators were kept informed by Joe Radle, aka "Von Nasty." The Southern Scale Warbird Association, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, sponsored the event. The association's number one man, Chris Joiner, was there to help out and enjoyed some flying too. Anyone interested in military aircraft may contact the group at Box 4469, Columbus, GA 31914-0469.
Until next time, go take a kid flying.
