Heli Jamboree (August 12–15, 2004)
August 12–15, 2004, was the world’s largest RC helicopter fun-fly and vendor trade show. It was held at AMA Headquarters at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana.
The Heli Jamboree was sponsored by AMA and the International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association (IRCHA) and featured four full days of flying. There were multiple flightline stations with flightlines open dawn to dusk. Events included the America’s Cup Scale Competition, the World Night-Fly Challenge, a drag race and auto challenge events, and several educational seminars and clinics. It was a world-class gathering.

IMAA Rally of Giants (June 17–20, 2004)
The 2004 International Miniature Aircraft Association’s (IMAA) Rally of Giants was hosted by the Central Indiana IMAA Chapters 48 and 651 and the Henry County Wright Flyers June 17–20, 2004, at the International Aeromodeling Center. There were 152 registered pilots, more than 300 aircraft, 300-plus pit crew members, and 17 vendors on site. The 2004 Rally of Giants was a great success.
